CNC routers are computer-controlled machines widely used in woodworking and other industries for precision cutting, drilling, and more. This four-session workshop provides a comprehensive introduction to CNC routers, from design to production. Perfect for hobbyists and professionals alike, you’ll gain the knowledge and confidence to use this powerful technology effectively.
By the end of this workshop, you will:
Understand the basics of CNC routers and how they work.
Learn the software tools used to design and program CNC router operations.
Safely and efficiently set up and operate a CNC router.
Apply techniques for creating complex designs and shapes.
Explore best practices for material selection, tooling, and finishing.
Troubleshoot and optimize CNC router operations.
Gain hands-on experience with Vectric’s VCarve Pro software.
No prior CNC or CAD/CAM experience is required. Familiarity with basic woodworking tools and concepts is recommended.
Windows laptop with Vectric VCarve Pro installed. (If you do not have a laptop, please contact us in advance to arrange accommodations.)
During the second class, you will schedule your time slot for the Axyz CNC Certification Session, which takes place on the fourth day of the course.
